Frequently asked questions.
Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in my first session?
Your first session is our chance to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you in, review any assessments you’ve completed, and create a treatment plan together that fits your goals and pace. Think of it as mapping out your healing journey.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! I offer both in-person and secure virtual sessions. You can choose whichever feels most comfortable for you.
Do you take insurance?
At this time, I’m an out-of-network provider. That means clients pay directly and can request a superbill to submit for possible reimbursement from their insurance company. This allows us to focus on care without insurance limitations.
How often will we meet?
Most clients start with weekly sessions and adjust as progress builds. We’ll decide together what frequency feels right for your goals and lifestyle.
What is EMDR therapy and how does it help?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps the brain reprocess painful memories so they lose their emotional intensity. It’s a highly effective approach for trauma, anxiety, and other experiences that still “live in the body.”
Do you work with kids and teens?
Yes! I work with children as young as six, as well as teens and families. For children under the age of thirteen, I require parents to participate in sessions. My goal is to help families heal together through understanding, support, and collaboration.
How do I schedule a session?
You can easily book online through the “Reserve an Appointment” page or contact me directly. If you’re not sure where to start, schedule a free consultation and we’ll figure it out together.
