Why Clinical Supervision?

Transparency and collaboration are at the heart of how I practice.

As part of my professional journey, I am currently practicing as a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) within a Supervised Private Practice (SPP). This means that I have completed all graduate training, earned my LAC, and am now gaining the final supervised experience required to become an independently licensed therapist (LPC) in Arizona.

During this phase, I meet regularly with my clinical supervisor, Adrienne Gibson, LPC, to review cases, discuss treatment approaches, and ensure that I am offering the highest level of care to every client I serve. Clinical supervision is a normal, important step in becoming an independently licensed counselor, and I value it deeply.

Working under supervision allows me to combine my education and experience with ongoing mentorship and accountability. You can think of it as having an extra layer of professional support, ensuring that your care remains ethical, informed, and compassionate.

All client sessions are confidential and supervised in accordance with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners standards.

Arizona Board–Approved Clinical Supervisor

Adrienne has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona since 2007 and has provided clinical supervision since 2008. Her deep respect for the supervision process is evident in how she approaches every relationship with intention, authenticity, and a genuine commitment to growth.

For Adrienne, supervision is more than a requirement on the path to independent licensure; it’s a sacred space for professional development and self-discovery. She guides new therapists in exploring boundaries, ethics, and clinical modalities while nurturing their confidence and competence as emerging clinicians.

Her compassionate and grounded nature fosters connection and collaboration, creating a foundation for lifelong professional support. Even after supervisees achieve independent licensure, Adrienne remains available for consultation, mentorship, and encouragement.

Adrienne’s passion for supervision is rooted in her belief that when therapists are well-supported, the clients they serve thrive.

Why I Chose Adrienne

When I began looking for a supervisor, I wanted someone who could challenge me as much as they could support me, and Adrienne is exactly that. She’s a phenomenal therapist with a wealth of experience and a well-rounded perspective that keeps me learning and growing.

I love that she’s spunky, honest, and not afraid to call me out when I need it. That kind of authenticity is rare, and it’s one of the many reasons I trust her completely. Adrienne brings just the right mix of warmth and accountability, and I know her guidance will shape me into the kind of therapist I strive to become as I work toward independent licensure.

I’m deeply grateful to have her on my team and to walk this part of my professional journey with her.
